I have four female ACFs and two males. Three females are in their own tanks, one male is alone and one male and one female are together. The female with the male just laid many eggs that are starting to grow. My question is, is it bad for the other females to be alone? I have kept them separate to mainly avoid their laying eggs. The ones together have laid eggs before and I'm always disappointed and sad with the result. The male that is alone sings a lot. I am not very well educated with the frogs, I've had them for almost nine years, so maybe I should have thought about this before. Is it harmful that the three separate females have not had the opportunity to lay eggs?
No not harmful, and if they really wanted to lay eggs, they would lay infertile eggs all over the tank. No need to worry about them.
