Default Heat Lamp OK? Waterfall advice

    Hi,

My kids and I are relatively new to taking care of frogs, specifically our White's Tree Frogs. They have been in a small-ish cage for a few months, and now that they are getting bigger, we are moving them to a bigger cage. We heated the smaller cage with a side-mounted heating pad, but we assume we need more heat for the bigger cage. A friend gave us a ceramic heat lamp that he used with his snakes. Many frog care websites recommend the use of a heat lamp, but I have come across a few that say a heat lamp will dehydrate White's Tree Frogs. Any advice/thoughts from more experienced frog owners?

Also, my kids really really want to get a waterfall for the frog cage. I see some on line that come from ZooMed and ExoTerra. Has anybody had either good or bad experiences with these, or any other small waterfall?

    Thanks!
