Just a weird question, my pacman is shedding and i want to know if they actually get full of it or if they get anything from it.
I imagine they get some nutrients from it but probably not a lot. I don't have any scientific data on it or anything, just my best guess.
3.0 Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis
1.1 Thamnophis cyrtopsis ocellatus
0.1 Ceratophrys cranwelli
1.0 Litoria caerulea
0.1 Terrapene carolina
0.1 Python regius
0.1 Grammostola rosea
0.0.1 Brachypelma smithi
0.1 Hogna carolinensis
This is a very good question that from what I read they don't really know why. They say the name of what they are doing is called Dermatophagy, and they figure As Dvirginiana stated that they are recovering nutrients and proteins by doing this. But they do not have scientific proof that this is whats happening. And they say if that they don't recover the nutrients and proteins by eating it, that if they start to shed to much it could actually be bad because they are now just loseing these nutrients and proteins.
