    Question Filter?

I have a 35 gallon paludarium with about 1/2 land 1/2 water. Right now I am doing water changes every day or few days, but i am looking to get some sort of filter/pump to circulate and clean the water. I am not sure what type of filter to get. I have a peptic and petsmart near my house and a locally owned poetaster a little ways away. Just wondering if you guys have any input as to what type of filter would work best. I am trying to stay away from internal filters. I am looking more for a canister filter type of thing. Thank you. Any inout is welcome.

You can use pretty much any canister filter. The turtle tank filters work well for tanks with low water levels. A bit of a warning though, a canister filter must sit below the water level, and they can be a real mother to prime.

Why are you trying to stay away from internal filters? I will not use anything else in my frog tanks, they work awesome!

We have a planted 40g breeder. 10 firebellies.

We use a 55g turtle filter. Crabon inserts. Filters changed once a week. Partial water change once a month. The external filters are overkill IMO. Now if my 10 were in say a planted 75 yeah a small canister... but thats just us i guess. We have never ever had a health issue(aside from them eatin their eggs lmao).

Regaurdless it cuts down maintenance, but everyones husbandry is different. We combine everyones methods, boil off the c-r-a-p and wind up with a good method.
