    Default HELP!!! MY GABF hasn't pooped in over a month!!!!!

    He still eats very well but hasn't had a bowel movement since last month . His staple is nightcrawler with an ocassion mouse every other month. I have tried the warm water soaking but still nothing he hasn't pooped in his tank I just checked the substrate what do I do????

    thats pretty odd that it hasnt pooped in like a month....i should do it weekly at least....and surprisingly the warm water didnt work....but if your frog is still a eating machine then i dont suspect anything to be wrong....just try bathing him and leaving him in there for like 15-30 mins and see if he/she goes....hope things work for you

    Yes he still eats he is about 5 and a half to 6inches. I tried the warm water soaking twice he still hasn't pooped yet

    Feel the frogs right side, if the frog is needing to poop soon, you will feel a mass, but nothing hard. If you feel nothing, your frog has been burying his poop and you should probably change out the substrate. If you feel a hard lump or significantly bumpy mass, then your frog may be impacted. First step is to honey soak. Add a drop of honey to every cup of 85-90 degree water, and soak the frog chin deep in it for 20 minutes. After that, move him to a clean water soak and let him soak for another 10 or 20. Always use spring or treated water. If you frog still doesn't poop from that for a few days, or looks like he is struggling to poop but can't, you'll need to get him to a vet.
