So here's a question not many will understand why I ask but here goes nothing. So my fire belly toads have been mating now for 5 days straight, and I was wondering a couple of major issues. How do I house 300-500 possible tadpoles? How do I get them to stop mating and how long do they mate for? On a plus note though this small biblical plague of fire bellies is kinda fun but nerve shattering. It's the same male and female going at it for 5 days and counting. When he tried to stop she bit him like she wasn't letting go of him on his snout.
That's why I only have males. I don't have to worry about what to do with the tad's. You either have to let them be eaten or dispose of them. Or, you must spend money to buy more tanks and supplies. You could become a breeder and sell them, but I think the markets saturated with breeders. At least here in the US. FBT's as well as other frogs and toads are cheap.
Any update, and babies? The suspense is killing me lol
Sadly no tadpoles lived pass day 3 but their still going at and now the makes are attacking each other for mating rights had to remove her and they some what quieted down still with some in fighting but more so over who rules the pack
