Hi there, i just fed my Cranwelli 3 small fishes and i can feel a hard part inside of her on the left side. She just ate, so its probably because of that, but i'll ask anyway, since i didnt found poop since i got her(1 week and a hald ago).
Thanks!
On a left side it would be poop. Usually warm bath helps to get things going
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Can i put her in the sink? With warm water 😃
Not in a sink! You use soap here and other things. Something you can put him in, water no higher then frogs chin. And you need to put a lid on, they can jump! I use kritter keeper for baths.

On the frog's left, it would be the stomach, so anything it just ate or hasn't digested. On the frogs right is it's colon, if it's a lump, it needs to poop.
I tried to let it bath in warm water but no poop at all 😢
When you gave him the bath did you use honey? If not try again later tonight or tomorrow and put a few drops of honey in it, and its got to be a pure honey like the good billy bee stuff. And another thing you can do is try massaging the lump abit while he is in the bath. If you do the honey bath let him soak for 20 mins and then let him soak in just a normal warm bath for like 15-20 mins after to get the honey off. And of course make sure you don't put it any higher then his chin and make sure you use some kind of declorinator for the water. Make sure the room he is in when having his bath is nice and quiet so he isn't stressed, and you can put a towel or something over the top of the container to help keep the heat in.
I'm doing the honey bath now, but i cant see any results! Also i can hear something hard on the right side of him now, not on the left anymore. What to do?
If the lump has moved from the stomach area to the colon area, that means it will come out soon hopefully. Remember to massage gently to help break up the lump

He's defecating now, but it seems to be very hard, he keeps pushing and pushing
Hopefully he will have passed the obstruction by morning.
Just a few tips to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
-make sure temps are stable (80-82 during the day, 75-77 at night)
-make sure humidity is stable (70-80%)
-make sure you are dusting with calcium + vitamin d3 three times a week and multivitamin powder once a week
-it might be a good idea to reduce the amount of chitin in his diet. Recommend using dye and chemical free nightcrawlers as the staple instead of crickets or fish. They are much easier to digest. Supplements must still be used. For babies, the worms should be cut to the size of the space between the eyes, for sub-adults, the length of the body and adults can handle the whole worm.
Making sure the husbandry is correct and you use nightcrawlers will make it easier for your frog to digest, metabolize and pass excrement.

It may very well have been something he ate at the pet store that caused the impaction.
Can you answer these questions? Just to narrow down possible causes. If nothing in the enclosure is wrong, then then I would guess that pet store moss is the culprit.
Pacman Frog
1. Size of enclosure
2. # of inhabitants - specifically other frogs and size differences
3. Humidity
4. Temperature
5. Water - type - for both misting and soaking dish
6. Materials used for substrate
7. Enclosure set up i.e. plants (live or artificial), wood, bark and other materials.
- How were things prepared prior to being put into the viv.
8. Main food source
9. Vitamins and calcium? (how often)
10. Lighting
11. What is being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure
12. When is the last time he/she ate
13. Have you found poop lately
14. A pic would be helpful including frog and enclosure (any including cell phone pic is fine)
15. Describe frog's symptoms and/or recent physical changes; to include it's ventral/belly area.
16. How old is the frog
17. How long have you owned him/her
18. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred
19. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats
20. How often the frog is handled
21. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area
22. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc)
