Drosophila melanogaster and Drosophila hydei are flightless.....as long as you don't put them together, then they aren't flightless anymore.

The way I dust them is by using a paper cup. I pour a little powder in, then I rub some powder around the sides of the cup (they can climb the cup but when the reach the powder they will fall off). Then I pour some flies in and swish them around.

Where do you plannon getting the flies from?? The ones that often enter our homes can indeed fly. In that case it would be difficult if not impossible to dust them and it would also be inpossible for your frogs to get sufficient food from them.

I'm not sure if it's true or not but the frogs take more than just a moment to eat them. The one's your frogs don't eat will fly away and get into your house and fly around.
welcome to frog forum by the way

i use a small plastic bucket to first put a half a teaspoon or so powder in the bottom, then dump some ff in the bucket, and give a swish. then tap it and then gently coax them into the frog enclosure.

I add the flies to a ( non-zip lock ) baggie >>> add the supplements to the flies >>> scoop the flies up into a lg test tube >>>> place the flies into the enclosure.

If the dart frog(s) eats what you give it within 5 minutes ( or so ) then you are not adding enough flies
