And the addiction starts. It has only been 5 months since I got my first frog, a C. cranwelli, but I think I need more frogs. I have decided I will be setting up a second tank and getting another frog or group of frogs. All of my current herps are nocturnal, and I would like one tank with a diurnal species. What I want is a species that is awake during the day, bold and visible in the terrarium as well as having a call that is only low to moderate in volume.
So far, it seems that the groups of frogs that fit this set of criteria are the fire bellied toads and dart frogs (some species). Are there any other species or groups of frogs that I am overlooking that fit my criteria? Thanks for the help.
darts! For sure! So much fun, get one of the bigger ones, azureus, citronella, similar, they'll always out begging for food lol
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
As Lija mentioned, darts fit the bill perfectly! Firebellies too. Bullfrogs, green frogs and leopard frogs are also diurnal but space requirements can be a hanful.
