Unhappy ACF ate smaller ACF and heart broken

So I have an ACF that was just a few months older than the smaller ACF but it grew much faster and became full size while the other ACF was still baby sized. So I got a tank divider so she wouldn't get eaten and one night the larger ACF knocked it down and ate the smaller ACF because she is no longer here. I'm slightly disgusted and upset with my large ACF. How can I overlook what she has done to her sister froggy? I'm heart broken and don't know how to get over it and realize it's just part of who they are.

what you need to realize to get over this is to see what she saw. What your frog saw wasn't a sibling but rather a smaller and edible organism. Also if you get another situation such as this possibly secure the barrier so that you can barely move it, or set up another tank.

Thank you that advice did make me feel a bit better. I probably won't bother getting another frog after what happened.

Well that's fine but try not to think about and to not take poorer care of the animal

I definitely won't take poorer care! I still love the frog I'm just a little upset but what you told me is good.

The cannibalism thing is quite common. I have seen frogs close in size try to eat one another. It's just how they are. It is tough to get another frog once you fall in love with your first one. Keeping a look out for adults on forums, classified adds is the way to go, though you can wait for some time that way. Setting up a grow out tank is a good option too, but a real hassle to run two tanks sometimes. I have gone both routes to build up my group over the years.
