thats the pic of his side
On that side it looks like his legs on that side are abit swollen is it just the picture or does it appear like that to you when you look at also? And ya it is better to have the UTH on side. Even though its only under one side it warms up all the substrate somewhat, when I take my top off the its like a wave of heat hitting you but if you put your finger in the cocofibre its nice and cool and moist. And my guy moves all over the place. Oh and you didn't answer if you tried a honey bath yet to see if it would help him go poo.
no i havent had the chance to get honey but i will soon but does his side look normal to you
I can't really tell from that pic if anything is wrong, but I imagine you're looking at an impaction. After you get the stuff for it and do a honey soak let us know if anything changes. If there's a lump you can feel in the frog's side you may need to gently massage it while you do the soak to get him to go.

Hey I answered your pm you sent me, and yes it looks abit swollen to me even that back leg. That's why I asked if looked like that to you because sometimes pictures can be deceiving. A its hard to tell hes so small.
That's what I was thinking as well, but I couldn't tell if that was legit or if it was just the picture.

those are better pics of his legs
Hey, sorry to hear the bath didn't help. Did he eat anything after the bath? Being a baby and only eating a couple crickets in 2 weeks you may have to try and get some more into him by force feeding. I don't really like it but you got to do what I have to do. From what I can see in the new pictures you posted his whole right side is swollen, and im really thinking you need a vet. If hes impacted with something and that's what the black thing is you may need a vet to remove it and the swelling could be an infection internally and you will need antibiotics. I think though your frog has water edema and again this will need a vet visit to determine what is causeing it. There is bacterial edema and edema due to kidneys shutting down due to low temps or trauma. Your frog is showing the exact same signs mine did when she had this. You will need antibiotics and if its really bad the vet will have to drain some of the fluids. Now for a home remedy till you can get to a vet is mix 1 teaspoon of unscented Epsom salts into a gallon of 80f declorinated tap water and let him soak for 20 mins in some of this no deeper then his chin. This should help relieve some of the water under his skin till you can get him to the vet.
ok i got bad news there is no doctor near me or as far as i no for hours a way that treates frogs all say dogs and cats and some other types but no frogs ive called many so i need the best advice to beat this i want my frog to live and grow old
You ain't too far away from me. If greensburg pa. isn't too far there's a specialist my family for their beardied dragons, boas, and all else. I can ask for the name and # of the specialist you would like.

They're good peoples. I've had no health issues so far with any of my pets because I'm an anal retentive freak with my vivariums and various tanks... They run perfect, or i spend hours fixin it... But, once more established i have a ton of animals to get checked up too...

i live in ohio thats around a 4-5 hour drive to pa
I tried bud. Maybe if you pm me an area we can help find one for you. My wife is a boss at that kind of stuff. If not we will try to compile all the information given here and see if he has any advice for you. It's a long shot but we gotta save the baby.
Maybe google your local expos and see if you can find a close breeder? Thats how we first found crickets when it got cold and no one would ship.
A lot of time honey soaks won't work the first shot. You can try up to twice a day. Also, did you massage the lump when you bathed him? Another trick that sometimes works is to place your finger just above the cloaca (like, right on the frog's tailbone) and gently (and I cannot stress GENTLY enough) push forward and up. The muscle movements that the frog uses to try and stay in place when you do this mimic the ones they use to poop and will sometimes get them to go. I've had that work multiple times for me.
I second what has been said about a vet visit, but trying the soaks again won't hurt until you can find a vet.
