    Default Lowes Plant ID

What is this plant I found at Lowes? I didn't buy it because I didn't know what it was. They didn't have a tag on it or anything.

Dang, Bill, you're good! Is it supposed to have twisted leaves like that? And what's up with the Oxalis? Hitchhikers? :P

I may buy it. It looks amazing. I read they grow under fluorescent lights too, so that's a plus. At least there's a chance. I was going to get the oak leaf creeping fig, but I see no reason why I can't do both! The oxalis is what grabbed my eye. I love them. I just can't imagine them doing well!

Yup, as you already saw, it's supposed to have those twisted leaves. I don't think that is oxalis in there, but a trifolium species, or clover. It's the latest rage with all the commercial growers to toss a complimenting plant in planters. I can't tell you how often I bought ferns that have had maindenhair ferns growing with them. What a pita it is to separate them when repotting.

Actually, my living room is a very normal looking, average row home living room. I keep zero plants in communal living spaces due to my cat. All my plants and frogs are in the basement. And since I have only been in this house 6 months, I'm still building my collection back up to it's former glory. I also lost a lot last year due to adjusting to furnace heat versus radiator heat. Took me a while to figure how to grow plants in 20% humidity

    Here are some pics though.

I had to be selective of angles since I have a bunch of projects going and the place is a mess. The main rack is full of qt tanks, the plant rack is full of stuff I am growing for future tanks. Eventually, I will get caught up. I fell a little behind prepping for gardening season. Btw, here's the start of my pond. It was neglected when we moved in and I am refurbishing it. There are quite a number of dormant ferns in the ground all around the pond just waiting for warmer weather to come
