Our frog, Mippy, will only poop when he's outside his tank. We have to put him in his critter keeper that we use to house him while we clean his tank for him to poop. We don't even add water for a bath. He just refuses to poop while in his home. Anyone experience this? Is it because he knows the poop will bother him in his tank? Or is it the stress of moving him into his critter keeper causing him to poop.
How often do you move him into the separate cage?

At first only every time we wanted to feed him crickets (not often) or when we did tank cleanings every month/giving him a soak. So I would way around 2 times a month. Then I noticed he hadn't pooped in his soil for awhile so I put him in to soak and he pooped right away. I've since noticed that he poops whenever we just put him in the tank whether or not it has water.
I would say he has a BM every 1.5-2 weeks and only eats around 2-3 times a week.
Mine does this, i usually wait around 8-10 days before i take him out and soak him in treated luke warm water and usually he will go. He has never gone in his tank, idk why. And I have had him about a year.
How big is his tank? Does he have enough space to move away from his poo once he goes?

This is normal. Frogs are critters of habit, some would go when you take them out purely as a reaction of you moving him from his usual place, others would go only in a water bath, others are "substrate poopers", they burry their poop and you won't ever find it but after they do it most would change the place they sit.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
My boy poops when I give him a warm bath. He's just like clockwork.
