    Question Vivarium Background Materials?

I have been keeping my whites tree frog trigger for roughly 6 months now and it is time for him to get an upgrade! he is currently in a smaller exo terra viv and I wanted him to get more space so I bought something much bigger
This is his new viv size (roughly):
    • Width: 79.5cm (2ft 7")
    • Height: 80cm (2ft 7.5")
    • Depth: 48cm (1ft 6")
    • 67.15 gallon(UK)
    • 80.64 gallon(US)

After looking around it looks like Expanding Foam is the best option, after asking in local reptile shops they suggested I stay away from this method but would not explain why, I have also been having trouble finding foam that is safe to use

thanks for any help you are able to give!

Edit: I intend to add a small pool with a waterfall if that effects anything!

    Default Vivarium Background Materials?

You can use any expanding foam, provided is it polyurethane based, with the exception of those rated "fire safe". Those have retardants that could potentially leech into the tank. But the general purpose or pond versions are safe. A lot of people choose to use the pond version due to they are normally colored black. They cost a bit more, but I supposed it is worth the extra cost for the black coloring.
