Whoa! What?? That's funky! Does she go all blue or just stay the way she is in the pic? What are the black specks on her head...?

Very pretty and I've never seen anything like it. To me the dark spots on the head looks too dark to be scratches but I don't know much about retf

They could be shipping bruises. I wonder if she is a mutation of some kind? Be interesting to see if she ever turns all blue or stays this way. Would love to see video of her!

As is she a fully grown adult female I would imagine she would just stay the way she is. She hasn't been very active as she is settling in still so she needs her space lol. I will definitely take more pictures of her and a video once her quarantine period is up. I can't risk her dying from stress lol.
Is this gal axanthic?
Absolutely gorgeous frog!
I have a frog. She's fat and green. Her name is Gertrude, because she is fat and green.
I'm still wondering if someone rubbed some kind of ointment or something on her skin that burned it a bit. Obviously she has wounds on her head, so if she had more initially, that may be what happened. I guess only time will tell.

Xanthics synthesize yellow and red pigments, while axanthics lack yellow and or red pigment this could be a reason why it has the blue patches. But I do have to say it is odd how the blue patches are dispersed and wonder if it is permanent damage to the skin. Where did you get her?
Sorry I don't know much about morph types and assumed you meant xanthic lol. I figure she is a pieballed which makes sense now after looking into it and seeing other pieballed frogs with similar blue patches. She wasn't tampered with to make her that colour lol. The blue changes colour when her green changes and all her markings on the side of her body aren't normal either so she is genetically abnormal. I got her from a pet store they knew a supplier who had 2000 wild imports and she was the only blue one amongst them apparently. I have yet to get a good look at her and she is still settling in and isn't very active.
The marks on her head have faded a bit I think though.
