I'll make sure to post an update when I get everything changed around in the tank and see how things are going

Those analog things are nothing but junk. I was going to suggest if your humidity is really that low, even after checking with a digital gauge, that you might consider just water substrate, period, and use a TetraFauna Reptofilter/waterfall (works in as little as 2" of water). You could give the frogs rocks and landmass areas and places to climb on as per usual, and if you are worried about crickets drowning you could try feeding in a separate container or with tongs. Definitely don't cover up more than half the tank up top, these guys need good ventilation, and watch out for melting plastic wrap if it gets near the lamps!

Did you say you have an 18"x18"x24" Exo-Terra...? How many WTFs of what age/size do you have in that? That's a bit shy size wise... (I probably read this in another of your posts elsewhere but I should have gone to bed an hour and a half ago and I'm super tired, lol).
    Mom to these fine frogs!

Agreed. That is why I asked. Those analog hygrometers are horrendous! I think you will see a huge difference in reading when you receive your digital one.

Okay so I finally got my leaf litter in the mail I'm currently still waiting on the hygrometer. I also put the eco-earth substrate in the bottom of the tank and then put the leaf litter on top sou frogs would have less contact with the Eco-earth. the humidity is currently at 60% we'll see how long this lasts assuming my substrate is wet enough I may or may not have to add more water hopefully this works out. thank you for all of the information and quick replies, and if it doesn't work out I will be posting

I also have an 18x18x24 set up with a digital hygrometer (zoomeds) and I have the same problems. It's bizarre because there can be water drops glistening on the plants and the digital readout shows about 41 percent humidity. There's dirt substrate and plants and a huge water bowl, but I can't seem to keep the humidity up when the heater's running. Even if the tank temperature is only 73 F.

I put a damp cloth over half of the top, still having problems. Maybe it has to do with the placement or accuracy of the hygrometer sensor (halfway up one wall).

You have to watch those probes on the digital hygrometers. If you get any water inside of the probe, the readings can go wacky. That's why I don't use hygrometers anymore. I went through a bunch them then just gave up and learned to "read" the humidity in my tanks via my plants and other indicators.

Yes I woke up this morning in the humidity was back down 10% again even with all the eco earth, leaf litter and the added water dish. so now I have two water dishes in there, one huge one a little bit smaller about halfway up the tank on the wall. I'm going to try and add a bunch of waters of the Igor's and see if that'll keep the humidity up it's slightly moist right now

I do the same. My hygrometer is so messed up now, I just use it as a general idea of where the humidity is. Sometimes it's only slightly damp, but the hygrometer reads 80%. It's about 20% off... You've just gotta guess basically.
