Never Fed FROG Any Thing But Crickets

I have had FROG since December of 2013. In that time I have never fed anything to FROG but crickets. I have fed him a few Dubios Cockroaches or whatever they call them. I feed the crickets romaine lettuce, apple, carrots, sweet potato and Gut Load Cricket & Insect Food. The crickets eat this for 3 day before I feed them to FROG. I tried feeding him earthworms I bought at Petco but found out later they were Red Wrigglers and they taste bad. I fed him a piece of roasted chicken once. I forgot to mention I dust the crickets with two different types of vitamins. They are Reptivite and ReptoCal. I space them about 5 days a part. Petco carries all the wrong live food! FROG is doing fine.

That's great to hear! Im glad your frog is doing well and it sounds like you really do a good job gut loading those crickets. Only 3 of my 4 frogs will eat crickets. Fatty won't even look at them and pays them no attention. But will dominate night crawlers whenever I offer them. Haven't tried cockroaches or dubia roaches yet.

I would try night crawlers but Petco and the other pet shop doesn't sell them. When I go to Seattle this spring I'll check out WalMart. They sell them as bait. I will get the non dyed ones.

Sounds like you're doing everything right. =)
And yes, they do have the adult and baby night crawlers at WalMart. That's where I get mine, but check the carton to make sure they're alive... my store is not very good about pulling the bad ones.
