Bullfrog enclosure

I have a very large American bullfrog in a 55 gallon. I can not find any plants that will withstand his weight. I have tried numerous plants (even aquatic floaters). After spending tons of money replanting numerous times, I'm open to trying something different. Does anyone have a large frog enclosure and how is it set up? My tank is 40% land and 60% water. Any suggestions? I hate to use artificial plants. Otherwise he is very healthy and doing well.
