If I soak artificial wood will it rot?
Probably not, but that depends on what it is made of... Is it plastic? A composite of some kind? My guess is if you are purchasing "artificial wood" it will be aquarium friendly, and as such will not rot. Others with more experience might have a more thorough response.
It is just wood that has had chemicals added to it to make it last a long time, so not as in plastic or something else but just real wood.
Oh... Well in that case no it probably won't rot. But, I'd be hesitant to use it unless I knew what chemicals were in it, in case they could make the froggie sick. If it is labeled as aquarium safe you are probably Ok, but if you have a link to the product itself (assuming it is available online) it would be helpful.
Recommend do not use any chemically treated wood in a frog or fish tank .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Yes, it is safe. I mean like preservatives, sorry to be confusing, I guess preservatives are chemicals but shouldn't be harmful ones since it is vivarium friendly. Thanks!
