Because I was confused as to why you would give a pinky to a constipated frog...? I wouldn't be offering "treats" at this point but concentrating on a diet that will be conducive to getting some normal bowel movements from your frogs, without inducing prolapse as a possible side effect when they are able to go. The poop you just saw would have been the previous meal(s) as pushed through by the bulk of the baby mouse; I would keep a close eye on your frogs...

JFYI, this is what a prolapse looks like...

This is why I will not feed my guy pinkies, or crickets, or anything else I deem digestively sensitive material. Right now he is getting earthworms interchanged with waxworms, and I hope to obtain some small hornworms when I have a cooler to keep them in at temps that will slow down their growth (hornworms can reach 4" in short order).

My frogs aren't constipated and never were. Not sure where you got that from! Betty's poo didn't look like a prolapse. It was definitely a regular healthy poo.

Just going by what I read further up the thread. Anyway my crew is calling for dinner, and I have to go shoot some waxworms up with metronidazole, so hope everything comes out all right in the end... so to speak Ta!

Oh, I got that from you two days ago in the thread "Poop?" when you were concerned about them not going after eating pinky mice 4 hours previously. Have a good night! http://www.frogforum.net/tree-frogs/32665-poop.html

Okay, most of my concern came from my memory of that post, but looking back at it the frog only hadn't pooped for four hours so it wasn't exactly constipated. (I assume it's done something since then?) I still wouldn't suggest feeding pinkies to a baby, but at least you weren't feeding a constipated frog stuff that could stop it up even further.
