Default Abf light skin and always in water

Recently my male abf has been spending most of his time in the water, when it has been the opposite up until now. He's also a lighter green.

He's still eating earthworms and dubia roaches and is active. Day temps are 78° and night temps are 73° with 60% humidity. The water temp is 75°. Nothing has changed except i put him in the water last week and he hasn't left really. Any idea if there's a problem?

Can you provide a present pic of frog? What water are you using? Can't understand the temps .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Omg! The second pic is such a cutie!

What at are you using for lights? Pic of the enclosure? They tend to change their colouring a bit based on their surroundings, blending in and all. It's normal.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

You need to raise his temps up to 82 during the day and not go lower than 75 at night for a while. If possible provide some low UVB for about 4 hours per day for a week and see if there is any change. UVB is not necessary, but these frogs do bask occasionally so this may improve his color and activity.

Thank you. This is my first winter with him in this larger enclosure and i was hoping with my heat kicked on in the small room it could work..... But it doesn't so time for the che. I'm gonna close the top better so hopefully it will stay warmer at night without added heat. I only have a regular t5 fluorescent for light in his enclosure, no basking spot.

Do you have a large UTH on the side of his tank? This can help fix the heating problem. You can use it along with the CHE to improve heating. For UVB you would have to buy something like a Exo Terra Repti Glo 2.0 or 5.0.

His enclosure has wood walls so i can only apply heat from the top with a che. And i do have a 5.0 that i used for 2 months i can give him.

This is his enclosure. It has 24" walls and is 2-4. The top is usually covered with plastic. Honestly, i may have to switch him back into his storage container for the winter because it's a rather large enclosure and i don't know if one 150w che can heat it
