Hoping I can get some suggestions or help. I've been feeding my C. cranwelli with Exo-Terra rubber-tipped feeding tongs since I got her, and so far have had no issues. Just now while giving her a cricket she grabbed it + the tongs (as she often does) except this time she pulled the entire rubber tip off and swallowed it. She's about 3-4" long right now, not yet full grown, and I'm really worried this is going to cause impaction. Is there anything I can do before taking her to a vet? Thanks!
You can give her a lukewarm (approx 80'F) dechlorinated water soak for a 20 minutes or so, with 3 drops of natural honey in it. Follow the soak with a plain dechlorinated water soak to rinse off the honey residue, for about 15 minutes. It can stimulate a bowel movement. If he vomits and prolapses his stomach or prolapses his cloaca (from his butt) get him to a vet asap.
