Default Expanding Foam and Substrate mix help :)

Hello, I'm looking at creating a vivarium for my Whites Tree frog and my Red Eyed tree frogs. I was wondering if this expanding foam for the background would do the job and is it safe for the frogs? It's not the normal brand people use so not sure Filler Expanding Foam 500ml Boom Expanding Foam I/N 1211402 | Bunnings Warehouse

Also, as I can't find a pre made ABG mix for the tanks in Australia I need to put together my own. Is this right are these safe for the frogs?

2 Parts Potting mix peat moss http://www.bunnings.com.au/potting-m...31344_p3010202
    2 Parts Cocofibre
    1 Part pine back http://www.bunnings.com.au/mulch-pin...-4040_p3010176
    1 Part Hort charcoal http://www.bunnings.com.au/soil-impr...30288_p3016175

    Thanks!

Not sure about the foam. Are you planning on mixing species?

    0.0.1 Bufo boreas boreas? (r.i.p. )

No they are in separate tanks. Is the substrate mix good? I found the list somewhere else on the forum but it was for a tank that houses insects not frogs but I assume it would be the same stuff?

The ingredients you listed are not right (i.e. pine bark). Here is a thread that has a correct mix: http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...al-plants.html. There are slight variations you can use; search for "ABG soil recipe" and will find those. Good luck: .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I found this part of the mix Propagation Brunnings 150g Sphagnum Moss Block 31582 I/N 3010215 | Bunnings Warehouse

But both the fern parts I can't find, can the pine bark replace it or probably not? I a the fern parts really a main part of it and can the plants live without it? Thanks

Pine bark contains resins that could affect some plant growth and even frogs. Have you tried sourcing items from Amazon International? You should be able to get what you need shipped from them to Australia.

I'm pretty sure you can't ship stuff like that into Australia, it might make it to the airport but customs would probably destroy it in-case of bugs in the soil/bark. Can I just go without the fern parts?

Tree fern fiber can be replaced with fir bark.

I'm not to sure of you can get that in Australia, I could be wrong but I cant seem to find it anywhere. Can I go without this part or is it a must have part of the mix?
