    Default Hello!!

Hello all!! I am new to frog keeping, I work in pest and bird control and recently got a callout to a site that fixes/manufactures the Rolls Royce jet engines. They had received a shipment of an engine from South America, and when they removed all the packaging discovered spiders, salamanders and frogs!! When I arrived there were various species dead...apart from one little frog! I carefully removed him (I had no idea what species he was or if he was poisonous) and took him home to identify him. Turns out he is a grey tree frog, and I decided to keep him! I made calls to friends and managed to get him some grub and a temporary tank and alot of advice! I named him Houdini due to his lucky escape and he seems pretty happy now...even started calling a few nights ago ( so he's 100% a he!) I am absolutely fascinated by him!

Hello and welcome to FF!! That is fun! You will have to share a picture. He must not have come from South America though, no grey tree frogs there I have 4 greys and they are really great frogs!

Nice! What a lucky frog. And welcome. That's a native species where I live, are you sure it wasn't the American South rather than South America? Anyhow there's a caresheet here. Take a look if you haven't already seen it.

About eight years or more, according to the caresheet.
Edit: Well it says they can, I don't know about typically.

    Default Hello!!

A typical life span in the wild is probably about 3-5 years. In captivity they can go for well over 10 years
