Thread: PCF First ”real” Build

  1. #1

    Default PCF First ”real” Build

After having my pcf in a plastic tub for over a year, I decided to make her a real viv. This is after the first coat of titebond iii and coco fibre. After contemplating what layout to do I came up with 2. In the second pic the water would be on the smooth side of the foam. The third and 4th pic is what it would be like up in the air. Let me know what you guys think

I have decided not to do the enclosure with foam as I could not get it to seal properly. I will post pics of the new enclosure tomorrow

Cute frog! (There ya go, lol!) You would hopefully get more results by posting this thread in the Vivarium thread by the way I've not done a build yet myself, so I don't have the experience to comment, but I can say good luck and hope all goes well!

Is the tank horizontal or is it the photo? It does look like there's going to be a lot of space to swim, maybe make sure there are no places the frog could get wedged underneath a rock in the water. I do like the arrangement of stones and plants though.

Thank you both There is no place for her to get wedged jn between the rocks. There is definitely tons if room for her to swim. And the pic is from the top. I don't even remember which section I posted this in

Be sure to provide plenty of land. they only congregate to deep water when breeding season has come.
Once you finish the background i would add a layer or two of leaf litter, they really enjoy it Otherwise
    looking good so far!

As I said before I am not doing the background. Also my frog spend most of her time in the water or she is sleeping in the same spot. There is also plenty of land for her
