Unhappy New Grey tree frog tadpole momma (41 babies)

Help please! Why are my new frogletts dying as soon as they get their nub tail resorbed completely? They just sit up in tupperware on the very top edge and the fruit flies even crawl on them and I believe they just are not eating, starve and fall to bottom. Could it be temp related? Today I'm buying a eco terrarium. Should I get a night lite that keeps the temp stable. I've read that this lets us see them hunt at night but that they do not see the blue spectrum? Also should I use a UVA or UVB spectrum to make sure their getting their vit D to synthizie calcium??? I've been reading a lot going to frog web sites and just am baffled as to what is best light setup for my baby greys and live plants /moss of course. Could be ventilation not enough?? Glass vivariums block up to 90 % of UV rays , so even if by a bright area of my house they need Full spectrum bulbs????? Any help out there?

So sorry to hear this - My first thought is moisture. Froglets can dry out VERY quickly if they do not stay very moist. I would have them on a damp paper towel for substrate, and make sure the humidity in the room/tank is high. Mist that tank like crazy.

froglets typically wont eat for the first week or so as their mouths are in the process of re-forming: i.e. they CANT eat. so if they are just out of the water, don't worry to much about food for a few days

    Ok continuing.
I would not put these little guys in a planted terarium for a few months. keep it very simple. Moist paper towel bottom, a small pond perhaps, and stick a pothos vine or something in there. (still in a pot)

UVB lighting is very harmful to many frog species, go for natural spectrum lighting - Greys are native to the states, so unless your house is an icebox, you don't need a heater/heat light. Again, go simple. this species does not need a complex setup.

Really go for moisture. Get those little baby frogs moist - if the humidity is low in your house, get a humidifier for that room to help the overall moisture in the air. then mist, mist mist

    good luck!
