    Default Diy water dish.

Im still in the process of doing my great stuff background but I was wondering about making a diy water dish that looks natural. If its going to be expensive I may just get the waterfall I saw at the pet store but im not sure if there is a place at the bottom for them to soak in. Thanks

You could always make a rock out of great stuff that is indented. To seal it you can use drylock which you can get at most hardware stores, and for color you can use non-toxic acrylic paint. I hope this helps!

A do it yourself water dish has the disadvantage of not being easily cleaned; as a hard plastic comercial one can .

Does drylok come in small quantities? I was also wondering what do I use for a base when making it?

What frogs are we talking about? If they need a water area, you can make a pond, plant some water plants sticking out, add some aquatic soil, add dripping wall or small waterfall... Possibilities are endless... If you really want a water in there
you don't need an actual water dish....

Also is there anything else I can use to seal it? They only have drylok in a gallon

What would be the best way to do this? I see some guides online for plexiglass on an angle in there with clear silicone, but I also see that there is a guy making a land and water break with concrete that looks great

One of our mods, Amy, just had an issue with the plexi glass setup, so that may not be a permanent setup. It seems that they always end up leaking one way or another. I honestly think a false bottom would be easiest for you, but it all depends on what you really want.

How would I make a pond with a false bottom? I want something permanent since im going to be investing in that exo terra fogging waterfall.

Check the Vivarium Construction 101 link that Lija gave you. It will be much more satisfactory than what I could tell you.

I wouldnt call a purchase of any prefabbed waterfall an investment. They are mostly junk and tend to be more trouble than they are worth. Just my 2 cents. Fee free to lose it in the couch lol.
