I just bought a humidistat for my Red Eyed Tree Frog enclosure so now I can pretty much keep it at a constant humidity level + or - 5% with my fogger. What exact percent should I shoot for? I've read everything from 30% to 90% on various website care articles. Kurts article does not give a % that is ideal. In Southern California where it is dry it is hard to keep up the humidity just by misting and I now have some baby Red eyes whom I fear might be more suseptable to fluctuations.
Try 70% and see where the takes you.
Thanks I will set it at 75% so it will come on at 70% and stop at 75%
Just make sure the ventilation is good.
I've got the medium Exo Terra with the light canopy covering half and a piece of plastic covering 25% of the screen top. That leaves 25% open screen. Plus there are air slits that run the length just below the two front doors. Is that enough? The central air in my house does keep the air moving in the room and it is on all the time.
