Default humidity in my frog terrarium

I have tried plastic over the screen, a new hygrometer and coconut fiber substrate. The bedding is so wet it is like a pool. I have a swimming pool area that takes up 50% of the tank. I have a 10 gallon tank with a screen top and 2 fire bellied toads. What else can I do? I spray the frogs and the humidity is down to 20% within 30 minutes. The heat is fine but can't get the humidity right. I also bought some spray for the frogs that says it is for a low humidity tank and keeps their skin soft for shedding. Any suggestions. Nothing is working. I have moss in the tank too.

What kind of gauges are you using? (analog, digital...)

Any hygrometer that drops down to 20% is broken, unless you live somewhere in the Sahara desert. Use the soil and glass of the tank (i.e condensation) to determine the humidity, unless you wish to buy a digital one for general levels.

OoK bill this is quite embarrassing And it is for Griff and you Bill and anyone else might have commented on my humidity posts .Now i had a lot of dew *(which is why my dewpoint calcs worked ), plenty of moisture but my hygrometer kept reading 70 percent on down .Soo i decided today to install a digital hygrometer alongside a mechanical humidistat .I pulled some new ones off my truck and wired them together on to just read the relative humidity and one to set the relative humidity .Once i pulled off my old humidistat it fell apart and had water in it .Soo (gets all embarrased n stuff) i had 90 percent humidity at times and it was sticking on most the time it .simply said i was actually running a higher humidity than i had posted on here . I am giving my absolute apologies to Griff i am sorry man i had faulty equipment and you were right humidity was 80 percent to make the frogs healthy n happy.Mine would go even higher at times thus the croaking the darn frog thought it was raining . I did not have to mention this but i am man enough to admit being wrong on something . Sorry guys my bad.So id change the hygrometer frog teacher . i do hope yall accept my apology.now i have accurate readings in my tank .By the way plexiglass over the screen with a few holes drilled in it to let air go through works wonders to keep in your humidity as does some live plants.
