    Default shy cuban tree frog

hi i have 3 cuban tree frog in one enclosure, one of them started acting weird, it spends 95% of is its time in the water hiding under a rock ( theres a small pouch of air) while the 2 others a just hanging all around the vivarium. is this a normal behavior or should i feel concerned , should i remove the aquatic part ?

Please copy/paste and fill this out so we can get an idea of what is going on here. Also, make sure you include a full pic of the vivarium and the frog. Thanks!

    Default shy cuban tree frog

I don't think that humidity has to be that high.

What's the temperature? All you wrote was "yes"

Is declorinator used? If not then the water is going to be very toxic to the frogs.

All the substrate you listed except the tropical soil is an impaction risk. I would remove that stuff ASAP

Since the crickets are roaming free the impaction risk is much greater as well

You need to use the calcium every other feeding and multivitamins once a week.

The frog may still be getting used to his or her habitat.

I would quarantine ALL of the frogs anyway. If they end up having a disease then you will have to gut and disinfect the whole tank before adding ANYTHING else. Also, to monitor poop.

Is there a size difference between the frogs???

Sounds like the frog is stressed due to something in its environment. Whether it's another frog or chemicals I do not know

i wouldn't go freaking out just yet. Surprisingly, some tree frogs just like water. my white's absolutely loved hanging out in their "spa", and i know heather's cuban spends most of it's time soaking in his water dish. i would give it a few days and see what happens. as long as he/she is eating and pooping, then it may just be the frog being a frog.
