    Default FBT sick?

I need help with my FBT.. I have 4 in a 20 gal tank. One hasnt been eatting and get very skinny, slow, and not active so i seperated it from the rest (thinking he was slower than the others because he hasnt been eatting) he ate a few crickets. His eyes are cloudy and looks like there is something on each eye and i cant see the actual eye. He also went from lime green to a dark hunter green. Idk what to do, hes not getting better. The other 3 are perfectly fine.

This happened to mine. The cloudy eyes mean some sort of infection. Try using melafix in the water to start with. You may need other meds but start with that. Mine is still not fully recovered, three weeks later. But my vet said it can take a long time for them to get better.

This is the link to the whole conversation about my frog: http://www.frogforum.net/fire-belly-...ot-eating.html

There is a lot of good info there.

So Sorry for your loss Mindy Be sure if you see any unusual details in your frogs next time, to quarantine the frog from the others.

I'm very sorry your frog died Mindy . Myself would accurately find out how much water is in tank (maybe removing water with siphon if you have no idea) and replace it with Melafix solution made according to bottle label directions for fish. Keep track of the solution volume you put back in, because you will be then adding Melafix for an additional 6 days. Recommending this because I'm sure whatever killed your frog is still in the other tank.

Maybe it was an injury that developed an internal bacterial attack; but the chances those bacteria are in tank water are high. Melafix solution will not hurt healthy frogs as long as you do not overdose it. That is the reason to determine actual water volume in tank first. Once prepared, solution can be stored for couple days in a dark cabinet. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
