Exclamation Question about American Green Tree frogs

Hi, I was wondering if I could use a heat pad instead of a heat lamp for American Green Tree Frogs. I heard they are nocturnal and I see no purpose in a heat lamp for that reason, so could I use a heat pad? Thanks!

A heat pad, unless stuck on the side, will not be doing much heating. Exo terras "nightglo" gives off almost no light. Another option is a small ceramic heat emitter

I would be concerned about placing a heat pad on the side of the tank since they might burn themselves on the glass. Even the small ones get hot. I use a red light bulb to heat my tank. I have a pair in the exo terr 18x18x24. Pending season I use anywhere from a 15 watt to the 40 watt.

Also, you can use a red incandescent bulb or a ceramic heat emitter for heat 24 hours a day, they won't bother the frogs .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
