I have 5 gallon tank with 2 African Dwarf frogs. I had the tank cycled and left my oldest adult dd to feed while I was out of town.I came back today and she had changed all the water and cleaned the tank!!!! She did add prime but they are gaping fro air and trying to get out, I have a 2.5 gallon hospital tank but I a afraid I will shock them to death. Getting test kit ad testing the ph now.
I suggest changing the water as soon as possible. It is likely that too much water conditioner was used for such a small tank. Too much of a good thing is just as bad as not enough. Make sure you carefully measure the amount of Prime. Also make sure the temperature of the fresh water matches that of the old water. These species are sensitive to temperature changes.
