Hello, I haven't recently got 2 FBT's and I am looking to feed them live crickets. However, the crickets just seem to jump into the water when the frogs come close and then the frogs won't touch them. Is there any suggestions? My viv is good in size and I have logs which float on the top of the water as my land area. Thank you.
Since the logs are floating, maybe try to build a stable land area that you can set a bowl. Crickets go into a glass bowl at least 1.5 inches deep and cannot get back out. That way they won't drown themselves.

Hello. Here is my enclosure. However feeding is difficult becase the crickets just jump in the water. Has anybody got any ideas as to how i can feed my fire bellieds. Thanks. Ps is there a way of putting a tub in this or feeding them something else?
I already responded to this question on your previous thread - http://www.frogforum.net/fire-belly-...-crickets.html
That would really be the best way, but if you do not like that idea, I hope others offer you more ideas.

Hi Micky! I've merged the two threads since they are basically asking the same question and can cause confusion in regards to answers. Think Amy gave you an excellent idea. You can visit the vivarium section for examples on how to build a dry area either using a glass dam, drainage layer, false bottom, or even a disposable plastic paint tray !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I have put a container in at 4cm, more than 1 1/2 inches. They are jumping out... But they are medium sized crickets. Small ones are coming Tuesday... Will they not jump that distance. Thanks.
