    Default Dead crickets

I went to feed my frogs tonight, I bought 3 dozen crickets last night, from a different pet store than normal, and threw them in the keeper to gutload them. I fed them grapes, strawberries, spinach, cereal and avocado. Normally I read up on everything new before I feed them but was in a hurry last night and avocado was new.

Could the avocado have killed them? I've read to avoid cabbage and tomato, but not avocado. Or could something have been wrong with them? There were about 10 left out of the 36, I didn't feed them to the frogs, I figured they could go without tonight rather than risk something passing on. I scrubbed the kritter keeper with some bleach water and put the 10 left in a smaller feeder with only spinach, water and orange cubes to see what happens.

I have never heard that, but good call on not feeding them to the frogs.

We bought 1000 crickets a couple weeks ago and within a mater of days I bet 900 of them died. Now we buy them by the dozen.

I'll be interested to hear/read what others think.

Oops! What's wrong with tomato? I've had some in my cricket tub for a couple of days but luckily without mass casualties that I can see. Better get it out I suppose!
