As the title states im wondering if leaf litter is good bedding. I was some easy to clean, and easy for them to borrow in. Since fall is coming it will be easy to get.

Yes, leaf litter would be an acceptable choice for bedding. It provides a cool moist burrowing spot for hot days, is easy to remove and clean, and looks just like a natural toad environment. As a matter of fact, I use leaves for Lola's cage. I use a mixture of dead lilac bush leaves, and some regular oak tree leaves.

OK cool. I thought it would be OK, but better to check and make sure. Using just dirt is a mess since they track it into the water which means you have to change it more.

You still should use some dirt, I thought you wanted to use leaves as a ground cover... Hm. Im sure it will still be okay if you use keaf litter though.

That's what i meant. With the leaf litter on top it will cause less dirt to be tracked in.
