    Default Best background to get?

Some companies manufacture some nice looking rock backgrounds. Zoo meds cork looks nice. U can build a custom background using spray foam but for that u must take everything out of your tank

That depends on the viewer's taste. Myself thinks no manufacturer's product beats a well planned and custom build by owner background. Don't get too blindfolded by backgrounds as a requirement for a nice enclosure. Lynn's vivariums have no backgrounds and are some of my favorite ones .

I like my exo-terra foam rock background, and I think from a distance it looks somewhat natural, but certainly up close it's easier to tell it's foam. I have also seen nice cork tile backgrounds that looked pretty natural. And like Eli said, a spray foam, DIY, kind of background can be made to look pretty natural with cocofiber on it or painted like Paul has shown, but that's a lot more work. I went for easy....

Another option is to use coco fiber mats sold in flats for use in fern/orchid baskets as liners .

IMO the most natural looking backgrounds are the ones that are eventually covered by plants So whatever you get I'd plan to attach plants to it, either vining, or moss, or broms. I like the look of only a little background showing through.

Im thinking of getting some wandering jews and pothos plants, i believe these r both creeping plants so they should climb up a background and make it look nice. Gonna get lucky bamboo to make a water background. Anyone know where to get lucky bamboo?
