I have 2 whites tree frogs the I recently acquired from work. I want to set up the best possible vivarium home that I can but also stay on a budget. I currently have a few tropical plants that I bought from work, (I work at my local petco..) along with some large aquarium pebbles for a drainage layer, coco fiber on top, and some sphagnum moss over that. They have a shorter terra cotta pot for a hide, and a nice size water dish.
So I guess what I'm looking for is some information on a lot of little stuff.. What leaves are safe to be used as leaf litter? My mom has a jasmine plant in her back yard.., would leaves from that be safe to use provided they are clean? Is there a better, yet cheap, product I can use for the drainage layer in the tank? What can be used as a background they can climb on, but matches the vivarium theme, so-to-speak? What plants are without a doubt safe for my whites tree frogs? And is there any other useful information anyone can tell me? (good places online to get froggie stuff, any places in western WA state to get good prices on amphibian stuff, etc...) I appreciate everyone's help!
New England Herpetoculture is a great online site for buying plants and supplies. You can get more plants from Violetbarn or black jungle terrarium supply. Thats where I have started getting my supplies.
Sweet, thank you! Another question I have is, do they get really loud? I keep them in my room, and for me the noise is peaceful, but I don't want them to annoy my mom in the middle of the night.. I just heard one croak, and it was fairly quiet, so I didn't know if they got much louder or if they are relatively quiet for frogs...?
i don't know if they croak. i don't own them sorry

If you have a male, yes, they can be very loud when calling. My male would call for hours sometimes. To the point I needed a break and would leave my animal room. But you get used to it
