    Default Welcome to "Serenity"

This is just to get the excitement up I have a sketch for a new tank done. For several months now I have wanted to add Oophaga Pumilio to my growing collection. I have decided that it is time. I am going to build this tank for them. Much to Bill's disliking it will have quite a few Brooms in the tank as I am going to purchase a Breeding pair from Shawn H. This will either be done in a 24x18x24 tank or a 36x18x36. It will be a large space for 2 small frogs, but this tank (i am hoping) ends up as the prize centerpiece of my tanks.

Bill has seen the sketch so he can comment on what he thinks, but I am keeping the sketch a secret. I have started to save for the tank and the initial supplies. This will also be by far the most expensive tank I have done to date. Hoping to have the tank and initial supplies in hand by the end of September. This build will get it's own thread and a video build journal as well.

Stay tuned! I am very excited about this one!!!

Sounds like its going to be great! The frogs are definitely going to add some great color to the tank. Wish I could get some of those.

The design is......meh, it's ok. It should be a "nice" looking tank.

Seriously, it's a fabulous design! I am looking forward to this one unfolding!

Subscribed! Goodness, it's like you finish a build, and you're already on the next. I think you need to sign up for a rehab clinic, because you have an addiction Paul. Then again, don't we all. Take this one really slow, because I'm afraid if you take it too fast, you'll start another, and another, and another and bankrupt yourself! Can't wait to see this one come to fruition.

LoL Bankrupting myself won't happen. I budget money for tanks any frogs, but it would be nice to take a break and let that money pile up. As it stand this tank is going to cost around $500 and the frogs will be in the $400 range for 2... soooo yeah I will be going slow on this one simply because I will have to wait for money to come in lol.

The design is fairly set in stone at this point, however I sense another tank being placed in front of this one in my build order. I am looking at doing a 24x18x24 for my Cits that I just put in the 40B vertical tank and then getting some different frogs for that tank.

No fear though. My winter plans are to build several tanks and update the frog room. Then come spring I can blow all that hard earned Christmas Cash on some new frogs. So stay tuned. I foresee build journals a plenty in the near future. I know you were all worried. Thought I would put your sweet little minds at ease.

I edited the name of this thread. This tank will be dubbed Serenity. It will be an 18x18x24 tank and will house a breeding pair of Oophaga Pumis. The build most likely will not start till closer to christmas and the frogs won't be purchased until spring or a little later. It will be a simple build, but I hope it is extremely pleasing to look at. I will get some pictures in here as soon as I have something to share.
