So I may be getting a few P. Sauvagei soon and am trying to learn more about them. I understand they require low humidity under 40% and a basking light. Now this poses a few problems for me because I just spent all my time researching tropical plants that thrive in humidity. Are there any safe plants that I can put in a P. Sauvagei tank that will do well in those hot and dry temperatures? I've always been intrigued by cactuses but fear they can injure the frog. I will also be using 2% or 5% UVB light, if that matters. Thanks in advance.
Pothos and air plants works for these.

Yeah, Pothos would work fine. Just keep the roots moist.
Thanks guys, any good vining plants?

Thanks again Bill, I really like the look of the Dischidia Sp. Can't wait to get started on this new tank build!
Bill, I've been meaning to ask you, what are your thoughts on Hedera helix? I'm using it in my sauvagii and whites enclosure. I read they can cause skin irritation but they are commonly sold at reptile expos and even neherpetoculture offers them.
ivy's are great plants for a viv. i actually prefer them over pothos. the only prob with them, that i find, is some of the cultivars have large leaves, so they kind of overwhelm a small tank pretty darn quick. i actually have never heard about them causing irritation, but i suppose it is possible if you come in contact with a broken stem. but that could happen with most plants really. i mean, pothos, our staple of the vivarium, is toxic to most animals, if ingested. like i tell everyone, if you want safe, completely non-toxic plants for your viv, go with plastic or silk plants. most plants have some sort of toxicity in them for a defense mechanism.

But bill plastic and silk plants have metal wires in them! There is no such thing as safe. Just read research and ask questions

Guys you gotta keep in mind that adult waxy especially if it is a girl is gonna crush a lot of plants. When i had mine, my very big girl managed to kill pothos, well not to kill, but there were not much of it left by the end of the week just sayn

Big strong plants even if potted and temporary in nature (i.e. small Ficus tree or similar can fit in a 36x18x36in. ExoTerra) .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
