I've found as far as supplements go, everyone has their favs. You should feed every day. When they are adults, you can skip to every other day, but it's better to just stick with daily feedings.

You will also want to start on springtail cultures as well. When that are little the will decimate some springtails. They will also continue to snack on the as adults.

Haha yeah I know I just wondered if there were any plants that were commonly found in the moss or something. I will plan on feeding every day. Is the best place to get springtails Josh's frogs or is there somewhere else I can get them? Shipping from Josh's frogs is expensive $$$. Do you have to keep a culture of them like fruit flies or do you just put them in the viv and they will keep themselves going?

Do both. Get 1 culture to put straight I to the vivarium and get on to breed on the side. You will want to periodically add some back into the tank.

Google NeHerp. They have springtails as well and ship them in ABG mix. Great company too!

Quick update, everything seems to be doing well. I'm going to be making a glass top for it soon because the way it is now isn't going to keep flies in and I would like to keep the humidity a little bit higher than it has been.

Yeah just cover the whole thing in one or 2 pieces of glass. On my sons 20L I just bought a glass aquarium top and it has worked out perfectly. Super cheap too.

One thing you forgot - leaf litter! Your darts need some leaf litter to hide and feel comfortable in. I would recommend some nice live oak or magnolia leaf litter.

Yes use Leaf liter! For the size of tank I would of with live Oak. It is small and will look better in there than magnolia which will be fairly large.

And don't skimp on it either. A few inches worth will do the trick.

Ok sorry guys I've been busy the last week. I went on a backpacking trip and I'm getting ready for school to start. I will get some leaf litter as soon as I can. I just want to be careful with it because the tank is small and I don't want to crowd it too much.

Also, everything seems to be doing pretty well. The cuttings are rooting and my ferns have some new growth. Those little sprouts have gotten a lot bigger but I still have no idea what they are. Pictures soon!

I would have to say that your other fern is a Yellow Button Fern. My Azureus love to eat near it and they love to hide under the leaves of it. I really like the fern and I hope you do too.

Ok hey guys! Sorry things have been slow. Here are some pictures to update you on the viv. The cuttings I put in are rooting and already growing new leaves. Those sprouts have got a lot bigger but I still don't know what they are. Everything seems to be doing well. I'm going to get a glass top hopefully within the next couple days. I am also planning to start my flies soon. Anyways, on to what everyone wants to see...pictures! Sorry about the water on the glass. I get a lot of condensation. Also, in the full tank picture the lights look more yellow than they are in person. The color of the light is more like what it looks like in the closeups.

I got a glass top for it today. I'm working on getting some bug net (like from a tent) covering the open areas for the pump cord and ventilation.

I also noticed there is a lot of new growth on both of the ferns but especially on the yellow button fern (thanks for the ID DigitalDart). I'm really happy with the way things are turning out. I'm going to try to get my fly cultures started within the next few days. I'm planning on doing homemade media for the flies, mostly because I don't wanna pay for shipping from Josh's Frogs. I found a couple recipes to try out, but does anyone have any specific recommendations?

Ok, I got the glass top finished the other day. The old top was one of those mesh ones so I just ripped out the mesh and attached the glass to the frame. I left about 1 1/2 inches of space not covered by glass at the back of the tank so the pump cord could come out and for ventilation, which I covered in no-see-um netting from an old tent we have cannibalized for different projects. It should hopefully be fly proof now. I also got my fly cultures started today. There has been quite a bit of new growth in all the plants and most of the moss has finally really greened up. Here are some updated pictures. Hopefully they are a little better than they have been because I used our nice camera instead of the crappy camera on my smartphone. Let me know what you guys think!
