Default current sat + for light in viv

As a fish nut I have an extra led fixture (one in topic) with full white light it is 65k, plus it has a lot of cool features I can play with. It grows my low light aquarium plants. Will it work for my vivarium

Yes, if brightness and light spread fits your enclosure and plants it will be fine .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Ha without water, the par rating will be extra high and it'll grow stuff even quicker than it does in your aquarium.

I'm jealous of that fixture. Been wanting one for a fish tank forever now but I keep ending up with fluval ecobrights lol.

Yay!! Someone who understands par value!!! Lol

I have to admit, I love led lights, but have never used one on my planted aquatic tanks. I'm still a die hard t5ho guy when it comes to light penetration through water, but vivs? You can't beat led

i run a sat + on all my tanks as an extra light, all my tanks but 2x are 75, so all my other tanks ar 6-8, usally a beamswork for regular lighting then a Sat for that custom lighting. on my 125 plants, I run a duel T8 on the side with plants Id like more growth, but my anubia jungle has the Sat plus. was thinking Finnex planted fuge or monster ray. The monster ray makes bright fish acid trips. oh I love talking filtration and lighting lol

Understanding is am kind word for my rudimentary knowledge of par... I don't even have a meter yet lol. I tend to just get decent lights and throw in plants and just see what grows lol. My plan for my vivarium is to do basically the same thing lol.

I just got 3 Sat +s for my viv and I like them so far. I just wish there was a way to automate the lighting effects.

Yea it is expensive, especially not to have any features other than ramping the lights up.

I found out about the Blue Fish Controller today and I am definitely interested in one.

Just wondering if this expensive equip ie like the Blue Fish Controller is really worth the $$
I have simple 13 watt 'light your reptile' LED. The plants do beautifully.
But then, again I have nothing to compare it to.

It has taken a very long time to have 4 spread-out over 3 - '6 foot spans. ( 12 bulbs)
( 3 tanks/ 3 tanks and 2 tanks ) But they do work really, really well.
I have them in cheap HD screw bases ( domes and clips removed )
It makes them very portable and easy to re-postilion.

When you have many tanks I can see not wanting to spend loads of $ on equipment. I only have a couple of tanks and they are show tanks so I like them to really be a show piece.

Well thanks Bill! Truthfully I am never satisfied, there are so many impressive builds out there I feel like mines never measure up.

And THAT is why your tanks are excellent. You are always trying to improve them. I am the same way. Even when I have a tank the way I like it, I want to rip it apart and start over lol
