    Default newbie in eastern PA

Hi, i am Colleen, i ended up with some tadpoles from my neighbors pool cover. Neighbor knew she had a couple grey tree frogs living on her deck, so she assumed that is what the tadpoles were. She was right- i now have one hind legged tad and one froglet. i had 9 to start but 7 were lost in a water change. i was so bummed out. I have been happily married since 1994, no human children. We have 5 dogs- 2 chinese crested powder puffs, and 3 American Hairless Terriers. I have an appaloosa horse and my husband has a paint horse. We live in the Lehigh Valley of PA, i used to be a bat rehabber of insectivorous bats. I miss it, but it took up all of my summertime/family time with my hubby, so i gave it back to the wildlife center. I love most animals, and i can't believe how much my froglet has changed from yesterday to today. I call him Sticky, i know- not very imaginative, but it just popped into my head. I was originally going to release them, but now seeing how tiny Sticky is, i worry about him becoming lunch. I ordered some flightless fruit flies online, so they should be here in a few days.

    Hi Colleen,
    Welcome to Frog Forum!
    Sticky...sounds adorable.

    You live in beautiful 'country'.
    My son lives in Philly!
You are also 'neighbors' ( sort of ) will Bill ( deranged chipmunk).

You might try to make the next show in White Plains.
I'm sure you would enjoy it.

thank you. i have been to the White Plains reptile expo. it's wonderful. I live closer to the one in Hamburg, and have been to that one a couple of times. For a while I was breeding Crested Geckos, but so was everyone else. LOL.

Hello and welcome to FF Colleen ! Here is a link to our Grey Tree Frog article: Frog Forum - Gray Tree Frog Care and Breeding. For babies, you might want to consider keeping them in a quarantine type enclosure with damp (dechlorinated tap water) unprinted paper towels for substrate for first 3-4 weeks. Will also need to use supplements, more on that in here: http://www.frogforum.net/food-feeder...schedules.html. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
