Default new tank can anyone id this rescue

He looks to be either an American or Fowler's toad. A clear pic of the head near his poison glands would help in identifying him. Their care is all but identical save for fowlers are a bit smaller and like it just a touch dryer

What a cutie!! I would have to say American also. Your location would help alot also in determining which kinda toad it is. But for now we will call it a lucky one.

Either American or Fowlers. Crest is to small for Southern and markings do not look like an Oak. A clear photo of back and head showing crest and glands would help with positive ID.

Looks to me like the cranial crests are touching the paratoid glands. I do believe that suggests it is a Fowler's toad.
"Look on the wall behind you. Look at that little girl's face. I know you've seen it. But you know what she's never going to be able to see? She's never going to be able to see the simple wonder of a leaf in her hand. Because there's not going to be any trees. Now you think about that."
