    Default makeshift filtered water bowl

Hi, i was wondering if i could get some insight on my idea which is to have a deep plastic container to replace my water bowl for my frog, then put plastic at the top of the container to make it shallow enough for my frog to stand in and drill holes in it so water will still be in the top part of the container then put in a small filter that will go under the plastic floor thing to keep it clean and probably pu like a cage thing around the filter. Do you think this would disrupt the ph balance or harm my frog. If you have any questions about what im tryin to rxplain please ask them ill try to explain better haha

Hello and welcome to FF ! The average water dish holds a very small water volume. That makes it impossible to design a proper filter for it that will sustain a stable bacteria culture to reduce a sudden large influx of ammonia when the frog pees and the large poop they produce. If interested in filtering the water, a split dry/wet enclosure will have a much larger water volume and that can be filtered.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I like the thought though! But as Carlos said it is impossible to design or buy a filter that would work for pacman frogs with the amount of waste they produce.

However may be if you have 300+ gal sump for tiny water bowl it may work.... ( that is me with anewly acquire knowledge of what sumps do talking) lol but even then i highly doubt it.
Never underestimate the amount of waste adult frog will produce.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
