If you were dealing with a regular pet store, then yes, the same rules apply. But the folks at LLL and Josh's and black jungle and ne herp really know their stuff when it comes to the frogs they offer.

I was thinking of putting some really nice, fine sand that I have in the water feature, for a more natural look. Is this a terrible idea? It doesn't float, so unless the toads really kicked something up, I feel like it wouldn't bother them. Meh.

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate advice

I use sand in my paludariums often. I like the exoterra (I think) river bed sand. It's not as stark as play sand. It looks much more natural.
