Default Froglets with tails are going into wild, more following, why are some dying?

We have about 200 tadpoles, Most of them I suspect are cope's gray tree frogs. Our froglets have 4 legs and long tails, and are climbing out of water and hopping into garden. We have found some dead. They have 4 legs newly popped out and still have tails. Are we letting them into nature too quickly? My kids hearts are breaking. We've put ALOT of work into raising healty fat tadpoles and now they are dying. We set up a cookie sheet on a slant with water at one end and a ramp of dirt and mulch on other end leading to garden.

What are we doing wrong? I did give thawed out bloodworms as food, but we have read that they wouldn't eat while absorbing tails and they aren't, but they are so lethargic when they first emerge from water. I suppose that is normal. Then they hop out and we have found several dead.

What should we do with the the other froglets with tails that are trying to get out? Will the ones that already left be okay?

Default PLEASE HELP! DIEING cope's gray tree froglets.

We have at least 200 tadpoles and they are popping legs out everywhere. The ones we transferred to shallow water with dirt ramp to garden are climbing out and dieing. They still have big tails. What are we supposed to do with them during this stage. They aren't eating, I assume, due to tail absorption. They ate romaine and cucumber like pigs as tadpoles. They have been thriving. Now dieing. Kids are holding on by a thread. Please help.

Hi Daisy Sorry this is sad

I have moved and merged your threads---this will help to get more direct and concentrated answers from forum members. The merge will facilitate
    duplicate answers.

Here is an article Frog Forum founder , John Clare, has written. Perhaps there is information here that could help.
Frog Forum - Gray Tree Frog Care and Breeding

    Hopefully--- others will chime in.......

Some thoughts ? I wish I could help more!
Could they be emerging too soon?
    - tadpoles are capable of detecting chemical odors of potential predators ( ie , raccoon )

They are "filter feeders" continue to provide debris from the water --- near where they are being released.
Are you able to determine if the water contaminated in any way?

You mention they are eating right now---however, live food may be necessary ? - appropriate size Crickets !
(simply for the sake of trying anything)

Where are they----physically being released- ? edge of a pond

Are they in the shade. Keep the water cool

It could be their diet ?

I would be tempted to control their release--- until they are eating and capable of insects on their own?
