OK, so one I just want to know what he is, which is a toad. I think hes a an american toad. He and few others like him live near my dads wood shop.My sister, who keeps frogs, just got a new tank, and I was going to use the old one. I was thinking about keeping one as a pet, but decided against it in the long run. Probably stick to hermit crabs.
The second is the froglets. I found my out door cats picking on them. They were living in a tub under the porch, I think they recently absorbed their tails. They were trying to get past the patio, where theyre family was massacred. I unfortunately found only the legs of the adult, and several other dead froglets, these two were the only survivors. I used some treated water from my sister's stock, and placed them in a tub for overnight until I know where to bring them. I really just need to know, should I drop them off by the creek,a grassy area, or in the woods. Or should I just keep them inside? I need to know the best course of action for them.
I live in nc, heres a frog list f our frogs
Frogs and Toads of North Carolina
(Last one is our county)
Because of location I would agree on American, but the cranial crest says Southern to em. Either way, it's a beauty. Can't help ya on the frog id....love the frogs but I'm more of toad person.
