    Bill,

For my idea I need some low light plants for the tank, well for at least part of the tank. Any ideas?

Umm T for sure. Might need some A as well. I am still hashing out the design but one idea would requite T and A for sure.

    Hahahahaha!

Ferns, man. Can't beat ferns for shade plants. Also, any aroid will grow well in shade, they won't grow as fast, but they will grow and fill in the bottom of a shady enclosure.

Aquatics: java ferns, bolbitis (there's a marginal bolbitis as well that would work for a low light tank), crypts, anubias, some ludwigia sp., bacopa, lindernia, hydrocotyle , just to name a few.

Thanks! I think i have a layout in mind. The idea I had on the road trip ended up not working out exactly as envisioned so I am now designing on the fly with the skeletal structure. I am also trying something a bit different. I am recording my build with a HD camera and will edit together a video of the various stages instead of just posting pictures. Will see how that goes with this build, but I figured it could make for a good learning video.... maybe lol.

First tries at doing a video build journal are done and up on my youtube page. They are both either 15min or nearly 15mins long. Let me know what you think of this or if the massive picture uploads are preferable. Right now my plan is to continue filming throughout the build and keep pulling out the important bits and sharing them.

These first 2 videos are edited down from 4 hours of footage and then speed up to 2X speed to help make it not so painful to watch.

Going to aim for shorter videos, even if it means more of them. Will work on making the next videos focus on specific parts of the build. 13 - 15 mins just feels to long to ask someone to sit and listen to me ramble.
