Hello, I am brand new to here. Our family has 2 whites in a tank.
One of our guys is jumping straight up in the air and bouncing off the walls.
He also is rubbing his head up and down on the side of the tank.
We tried to hold him to calm him down but that did not help him.
I am thinking that he may have been doing this the last 2 nights also because all of the water in their pool is gone by morning, like it was splashed out.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone may know what is wrong with him or is this normal.
We've had them about 2 years.
Thanks
No clue on this since you've had them for awhile. If you haven't changed anything in their enclosure, I would get a fecal sample and have them checked out by a vet to rule out anything internal. For now, I would just cover the tank to see if it helps calm them down. Good luck on this.

As my name implies i know alot about Dumpy's. But this is pretty weird man... I know from personal experience when Dumpy's rub there nose on the glass there tank is too small, the jumping thing can also be a sign that his tank is to small. To be perfectly honest Dumpy's are kinda weird... if he continues this take him to a vet to find the exact problem. Also look up your question on the interent (my Dumpy is jumping around and is rubbing his nose on the glass)
Ohhh! Too small! Well, I will get a bigger tank and see if this helps him .
It's just weird because he is just fine and dandy now, just chillin.
I'm thinking my dumpys are just plain weird, they spend a lot of their day sitting on rocks i have in their home, which made me nervous that they were not well, but they have always been like that.
Thanks for the help
How big is their tank? Plenty if branches to rest on? A pic would help
